Refugee Empowerment Center is part of a collaborative effort between other service providers and the city to increase transparency regarding health and safety protections in place for workers at food processing plants.
Sharing information on COVID-19 worker protections helps to:
1. Increase transparency and accountability
2. Inform existing food processing employees of the protections available to them where they work; what they should request and expect
3. Enable and empower potential employees to make informed decisions
