Mode Shift Omaha | Coffee Chat with Scott Larsen
The Refugee Empowerment Center’s “New American Bike Project” was created in 2014 to help provide refugee and immigrant communities with viable options to overcome transportation barriers. The New American Bike Project aims to create opportunities for bicycle education and safety training as well as forming a unified voice to better advocate for solutions to New American transportation issues.
Mode Shift Omaha’s Coffee Chats are informal monthly events featuring special guests with various connections to transportation in the Omaha area. Our Coffee Chats are part learning from the featured guest and part discussion.

Open House
Our agency is having an open house. No joke! Stop by and learn the facts about refugee resettlement in Omaha. Bring your questions. Meet our staff. Meet former refugees who now call Omaha home. And visit our gift shop, all items are made by the wonderful men and women in our Job Club Class.
When: Open house is from 10:30 – 4pm Formal presentations (and wonderful food) at 11:30 and 1:00.
