New American Bike Project

The New American Bike Project exists to raise the New American voice on transportation issues and advocacy for transportation alternatives in Omaha. We begin by placing affordable and efficient modes of transportation into the hands of refugee and immigrant communities.

The New American Bike Project is a partnership with The Community Bike Project in Gifford Park and Live Well Omaha.

Together, we supply refurbished bikes to participants upon completing a 3-class training session on bike maintenance, safety, and rules of the road. Participants are also given bike locks, lights, and helmets.
